Eating Healthy Campaign in Schools
In schools, parents do not have much control over what their children are eating, and school cafeterias are mostly serving processed foods daily. Based on our research processed foods are foods that are either frozen or dried to preserve the nutrients and freshness. Some examples of processed foods are: Canned and frozen fruits and vegetables, Foods with health and nutrition claims on the label, or even Packaged foods labeled as "natural" or "organic." Do we even know what are in these processed foods?
In our campaign of eating healthy, we are going to show you what are in these processed foods and healthy food alternatives that are within the school's budget. Our goal is to find what is best for our students to eat and what is not.
